Hello, my name is Renata!
I am a Brisbane based qualified counsellor working in the field of psychodynamic and psychoanalytic therapy. I am dedicated to helping my clients explore their inner world and gain a better understanding of themselves and their relationships.
With a deep understanding of the psychoanalytic theories developed by Sigmund Freud, Melanie Klein, Donald Winnicott, Heinz Kohut, Wilfred Bion and others, I use a combination of psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approaches to support clients in their journey of self-discovery and healing. I believe that our childhood experiences, unconscious thoughts, and feelings play a crucial role in shaping our present and future.
Another crucial aspect of my life is that six years ago, I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder type II, a condition I have learned to navigate, and that has inspired me to share my knowledge and skills with others. Here, I present my personal journey and experiences with this disorder
It is important for me to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their experiences, emotions, and relationships, which results in symptoms relief and overall better quality of life.
I offer a confidential and supportive environment for clients to process their feelings, gain insight, and develop new ways of coping with life's challenges.
I am a member of Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia and regularly update my knowledge base with current professional development courses. I also undertake individual professional supervision on the regular basis.
